Roaring River State Park

Roaring River State Park occupies 3,403 acres of wooded hills and the small spring-carved valley of the Roaring River, which flows into Table Rock Lake.  The park includes the 2,075 acre Roaring River Hills Wild Area (accessible  via the Fire Tower Trail), a Nature center (open year round), and the Roaring River Fish Hatchery (which releases rainbow trout daily), and a store for camping and fishing supplies.

(In addition to the trout fishing and hiking opportunities that the park offers, paddling a canoe up the river from the lake to the park and floating back down makes for a pleasant outing.  There are a couple of low-bridge portages and, depending on water flow, you may have to walk the canoe over some gravel bars.  But nothing too strenuous is required.)

Location:  At the junction of Hwy. 112 (between Cassville and Seligman) and Hwy. F (which runs between Hwys. 112 and 86).
