Pets are welcome at the Lazy Eagle Resort on the following conditions:
They are known to be people-friendly. If you haven't established this yet, please do not bring them. We have lots of families with children staying here, and especially for their sake we do not subscribe to the "every dog is entitled to one good bite" theory.
They are clean, healthy and free of fleas. (Note, we are situated in a moist, heavily wooded environment -- we have lots of ticks. Animals allowed outside without a flea & tick collar or other protection will almost certainly pick up ticks here.)
They are house-broken.
Dogs are kept leashed when outside, and no pet is allowed to enter the swimming pool area or the hot tub.
They are never left alone in rooms for more than a few minutes at a time. (We make it a point not to enter guest's rooms when they are not there, absent an emergency. However, in the event of a barking dog as a first step we will enter the room, remove the dog and secure it in a shaded spot, with water.)
There will be a fee of $15 per room per visit for dogs and cats. We regret the need to impose this fee, but it represents our additional laundry and carpet cleaning expenses associated with these pets.
Any repairs necessitated by the pet will be paid for promptly by the owner upon presentation of the bill for those repairs.
