The Lazy Eagle Resort was built in 1960 and has been in my family since 1972. I took over in 2000. These are some of the improvements and renovations that I've made since then.
Spring 2001
New furnishings (complete -- from beds to coffeepots) for all rooms and new BBQ grills, picnic tables & chairs outside
Parking lot asphalted
Decks on lake side replaced with wider design
Stairs and landings on parking lot side replaced with wider design
New filter system for swimming pool
Non-smoking rooms now available
New parking lot, original siding.
Spring 2002
Terraces added on lakeside of all buildings
Fluorescent lighting in all rooms
New counter tops in rooms 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15
New stove-top burner units in rooms 2, 7, 9, 11, 14, 15
New sinks in all rooms except #4 (already upgraded)
Kitchen shelf added in all rooms
Spring 2003
New bathroom walls in all rooms except #4 (already upgraded)
Bathtubs added in rooms 1-3
Office remodeled
Spring 2004
New carpets and kitchen floors in all units
Units 1-4 building re-surfaced in rough cedar. Sharp!
New siding with new lake-side terrace.
Spring 2005
Office & Units 14-15 building re-surfaced in rough cedar. Also sharp!
Spring 2006
Units 5-8 and 9-12 buildings resurfaced in rough cedar. Now the whole place looks more at home in the middle of all these trees.
Unit 11 bedroom re-done in white pine.
Spring 2007
Units 3, 4, 7, 8 and 12 bedrooms re-done in white pine.
Bathroom shelf and more towel racks added in all units.
Winter 2007-2008
Units 14 and 15 bedroom re-done in white pine.
All upstairs units new bedroom windows, same as downstairs units.
All units new storm doors.
